【摘要】:Therearemanyundergroundstructuresthatarecreatedforpermanentorlong-termuse.Often,thesestructuresaresubjectedtoanapproximatelyconstantload.Creeptestsprovidequantitativeparametersforstabilityanalysisofthesestructures.Thedeformationandstrengthpropertiesofrockcoresmeasuredinthelaboratoryusuallydonotaccuratelyreflectlarge-scaleinsituproperties,becausethelatterarestronglyinfluencedbyjoints,faults,inhomogeneities,weaknessplanes,andotherfactors.Therefore,laboratoryvaluesforintactspecimensmustbeemployedwithproperjudgmentinengineeringapplications.Note18212;Notwithstandingthestatementsonprecisionandbiascontainedinthistestmethod;theprecisionofthistestmethodisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingit,andthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting.UsersofthistestmethodarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotinitselfassurereliabletesting.Reliabletestingdependsonmanyfactors;PracticeD3740providesameansofevaluatingsomeofthesefactors.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthecreepbehaviorofintactsoftandhardrockcoreinfixedstatesofstressandtemperature.Theyspecifytheapparatus,instrumentation,andproceduresfordeterminingthestrainasafunctionoftimeundersustainedload.Hardrocksarethosewithamaximumaxialstrainatfailureoflessthan2%.Softrocksincludesuchmaterialsassaltandpotash,whichoftenexhibitverylargestrainatfailure.1.2ThisstandardreplacesandcombinesthefollowingStandardTestMethodsnowtobereferredtoasMethods:Methodx2018;Ax2019;(D5341CreepofHardRockCoreSpecimensinUniaxialCompressionatAmbient/ElevatedTemperatures);Methodx2018;Bx2019;(D4405CreepofSoftRockCoreSpecimensinUniaxialCompressionatAmbientorElevatedTemperature);andMethodx2018;Cx2019;(D4406CreepofRockCoreSpecimensinTriaxialCompressionatAmbientorElevatedTemperature).1.3AllobservedandcalculatedvaluesshallconformtotheguidelinesforsignificantdigitsandroundingestablishedinPracticeD6026.1.3.1Themethodusedtospecifyhowdataarecollected,calculated,orrecordedinthisstandardisnotdirectlyrelatedtotheaccuracytowhichthedatacanbeappliedindesignorotheruses,orboth.Howoneappliestheresultsobtainedusingthisstandardisbeyonditsscope.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoinch-poundunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection7.
